Omitec, the UK’s leading independent diagnostic and test equipment manufacturer is pleased to launch the new UCM Land Rover Diagnostic Platform which from January this year now covers service light re-set.
Omitec has extended the firmly established tool of choice, the Land Rover T4, which is the OE standard diagnostic platform for all vehicles to the current Range Rover. The new UCM Land Rover is designed for use on the very latest Land Rover vehicles including Discovery 3, Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and recent additions, Freelander 2 and the New Defender.
The tool consists of a UCM (Universal Communication Module), UCM to USB lead, UCM to vehicle harness and Land Rover diagnostic software. The diagnostic platform will benefit from frequent updates to upgrade and extend application coverage to the tool. The software can be added to existing Omitec diagnostics equipment, including the T4 or be used stand alone added to the garages’ own PC or laptop.
The UCM Land Rover Diagnostic Platform allows the 4x4 specialist garage or the independent garage to increase the range of cars that can be worked on and therefore helps to reduce the number of vehicles sent back to the main dealer for diagnostic analysis or repair. This helps the garage stay in control of the repair, keeps the work in-house, which maintains profitability and offers better customer service.
