The OmiSonic is a small, convenient and easy to use diagnostic fault isolation tool specifically designed to identify and isolate sound sources in the Ultrasonic range.
The OmiSonic converts the inaudible high frequency ultrasound into an audible sound which the technician can hear by the headphones or see on the LED bar graph display.
Key applications:
Low and high pressure air leaks
Bearing and lubrication failure
General mechanical inspection
Electrical (high Voltage discharge)
Seal integrity (doors, windows)
Exhaust system inspection
Air conditioning system leak location
Ultrasound frequency range | Centre frequency 40kHz general purpose transducer |
Audible frequency range | 400 to 4000Hz |
Technology | Microprocessor controlled analogue and digital electronics |
Operating temperature | -10 to +50°C |
Display | Signal strength 10 LED analogue bar graph Signal distortion LED Power on LED (under relevant key) Bandwidth LED (under relevant key) |
Power source | Single 9 volt alkaline battery |
Weight | 0.25kg (with battery and transducer head) |
Contact and wave-guide probes can be used to help pinpoint ultrasound sources or access difficult locations.
For non-pressurised leaks or enclosures that don't create ultrasound, the OmiSonic transmitter can be used to generate ultrasound to assist in leak detection.
