CAPS (Computer Aided Problem Solving) software is invaluable in helping to diagnose faults within modern electronically controlled vehicle systems.
CAPS is essentially a practical fault diagnostic workshop manual on computer screen for engine management systems, fuel injection, ABS, traction control, SRS and automatic transmission. Instead of thumbing through many bulky manuals the correct specific information can be quickly and easily accessed through a user-friendly menu with the click of a mouse button.
CAPS is an on-screen troubleshooting workshop manual covering the electronic systems fitted to the modern motor vehicle.
CAPS covers engine management (petrol and diesel), ABS/traction control, immobiliser and automatic transmission systems.
CAPS data is vehicle specific and not generic.
CAPS can be linked to an OmiScan fault code reader, establishing a link between retrieved fault codes and test procedures. This gives the technician access to 'Guided Diagnostics'.
CAPS is available on subscription and is updated every six months.
