As technicians across the country are busily putting pen to paper in the search for the Champion Technician of the Year 2006, the competition prize purse has just grown to nearly £15K thanks to Omitec.
With the best part of 500 entries already in and a number of weeks left before the stage one deadline, diagnostics market leader Omitec, has stumped up a quality prize for each of the ten finalists set to take part in the final at Federal-Mogul's Ferodo facility in Chapel-en-le-Frith, Derbyshire on 2nd June.
Everyone who reaches the final ten will receive an OmiDetect Tyre Pressure Monitoring System Tester and a selection of Omitec merchandise.
Plus, the overall winner will take home an OmiScan full kit worth over £3500 whilst the second placed technician wins an OmiScan essential kit and this is all in addition to the existing prize line-up. Omitec has brought the prize fund up to nearly £15,000!
John Watkins, Omitec Group Chairman and CEO commented, “There is enormous synergy in supporting this competition for Omitec. We have a good relationship with Professional Motor Mechanic magazine and through our association with the IMI are committed to delivering quality training to technicians. We felt that we should recognise everyone’s achievement in reaching the final and have offered prizes to achieve this.”
