Omitec is seeking a Production Test Technician to join the highly skilled Production team working on a diverse portfolio of projects.

Main Purpose of the Job

To test, fault find and repair automotive electronic diagnostic assembly’s printed circuit boards and passive/active cable assemblies.

To ensure that the products are programmed, tested, calibrated and repaired in line with the production schedule.

Experience

Fault diagnosis and repair of printed circuit board assemblies with surface mount and through hole components
Knowledge of both digital and analogue electric systems and the ability to diagnose faults within those technologies
Experience of working within a cable harness and electronic product assembly environment
Supporting problem solving and data analysis activities to identify solutions to assembly, test and field failures

Desirable Skills

Experience with using MS Windows PC’s as a test and record keeping tool (especially MS Office applications)

Qualifications

An ONC/HNC in Electronics, equivalent qualification or experience
